Iranian elderly man observes fasting at the age of 80

Iranian elderly man Hossein Daqaqian, also known as Hossein Asghar, observes fasting during this year’s holy month of Ramadan.

Fasting in this year’s holy month of Ramadan is much harder due to coronavirus pandemic, but Hossein Asghar, 80, is not only fasting but works on his farm all day long.

In the hot days of spring in Yazd Province, the senior citizen with a young and strong heart commutes all the way to work by bike.

At sunset, he first goes to the mosque for praying in congregation before breaking his fast.
